The 86th annual Klamath Basin Potato Festival celebrates "Potatoes — A Family Tradition" with activities Friday and Saturday in Merrill.
Friday Schedule: Free baked potato bar (11 a.m.–1 p.m., sponsored by Umpqua Bank). Exhibits and vendors open 1–5 p.m. at Merrill Civic Center.
Saturday Schedule: Parade on Front Street at 11 a.m. Free BBQ (12:30–3 p.m., sponsored by Merrill Lion's Club). Exhibits and vendors 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. at Merrill Civic Center.
The family-friendly event features live music, a beer garden, potato peeling contest, and Pop-Warner football games. Queen candidates and Junior Princesses will be crowned. Theme: "Stars, Stripes, and Spuds."
