Contribute to a community art project while supporting a Portland State University Ph.D. candidate's dissertation research on water conflict and governance in the US West. Join geography scholar Thien-Kim Bui to create quilt squares illustrating water's importance in your life, your feelings about competing water needs during drought, or any other aspect of water relevant to the Klamath Basin.
All materials are provided, and no previous crafting, sewing, or quilting experience is required. Participation is completely voluntary—attend as many or as few sessions as you wish and stay for any duration.
Multiple session dates available: Sunday, Sept. 13 (1:30–4:30 PM); Monday, Sept. 14 (11 AM–2 PM); Tuesday, Sept. 15 (5–7:30 PM); Wednesday, Sept. 23 (5–7:30 PM); Friday, Sept. 25 (1:30–4:30 PM); Saturday, Sept. 26 (11 AM–1 PM and 1–4 PM).
Requirements: Open to adults 18+ who live in, work in, or are otherwise connected to the Klamath Basin. Pre-registration is appreciated.
